The evidence brought forward in Icarus through Russian whistle-blower Dr. Grigory Rodchenkov, was instrumental in the Olympic Committee's banning of Russia from the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.\n\nFogel most recently has directed and produced the 2020 American documentary film The Dissident that follows the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi and Saudi Arabia's effort to control international dissent. It had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2020.
