He mainly played supporting roles in films such as the film noir classic Out of the Past (1947) and the classic crime film Armored Car Robbery (1950), although he did have the starring role in Desperate (1947). He later appeared with Elvis Presley in Blue Hawaii (1961) and Roustabout (1964).

Beginning in the mid-1950s he appeared largely on television, including, for instance, The Public Defender, three episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and in the episode "Vendetta" of the syndicated western series Pony Express. He and Sterling Holloway appeared in the 1960 episode "Love Me, Love My Dog" of the syndicated crime drama The Brothers Brannagan.

Description above from the Wikipedia articleSteve Brodie (actor), licensed under CC-BY-SA, full list of contributors on Wikipedia.","1919-11-21","1992-01-09",2,null,10162,"nm0110917","Acting","Steve Brodie","El Dorado, Kansas, USA",1.3082,"/cC8nuduu7C9pOZdctq8RpDrd9oj.jpg
23,41,57,73,88,102,116,130,145,158,172,184,197,210,223,237,250,263,276,288,301,314,327,338,350,363,376,389,401,412,425,437,448,459,471,482,493,505,516,528,540,551,563,574,585,596,608,619,630,642,653,664,675,686,697,707,718,729,742,754,766,777,790,802,813,824,835,847,858,869,881,892,903,914,925,936,947,958,969,980,989,1007,1020,1033,1046,1059,1075,1087,1102,1115,1129,1142,1156,1168,1183,1194,1205,1219,1233,1246,1258,1270,1285,1297,1309,1320,1332,1345,1359,1371,1384,1396,1407,1422,1434,1448,1459,1470,1483,1494,1506,1517,1528,1540,1549,1561,1575,1581,1587,1593,1599,1605,1611,1617,1623,1629,1635,1641,1647,1659,1674,1680
"/9qGWOflC5WNhaKk2UPYu55SjjNj.jpg",[26,27],80,53,678,"Out of the Past","en","The peaceful life of a gas station owner is disrupted when a man from his past arrives in town and forces him to return to the dark world he had tried to escape.",5.5113,"/lnUK6Cg5ARM0qaq0B5SG20VAM0h.jpg","1947-11-25",7.661,676,"Jack Fisher","52fe4269c3a36847f801c8d7",7,"movie
"/xSN7sVwIC6ExQZVMIUMjm4Tl2TN.jpg",[44,45],18,10752,10178,"The Caine Mutiny","When a US Naval captain shows signs of mental instability that jeopardize his ship, the first officer relieves him of command and faces court martial for mutiny.",4.9825,"/vuO4Z3wOWVlhq35MS9asZeT9rVp.jpg","1954-06-24",7.251,387,"Chief Budge","52fe433c9251416c750089a3",21
"/fFut8u46jemrFjIQNfi1JmsyBGL.jpg",[60,61],27,878,3165,"Frankenstein Island","Four balloonists and their dog are stranded on a remote island with a woman believed to be a descendant of Frankenstein, who is conducting experiments on lost sailors.",1.8034,"/cyQ9LrACK0ynI73ZyvW1XVEAIut.jpg","1981-11-27",3.5,24,"Jocko","52fe438cc3a36847f805c95b",1
"/ZV98BXRcmNef2ypusfrJi5cm5R.jpg",[27,26,76],28,22924,"Armored Car Robbery","While executing an armored car heist in Los Angeles, icy crook Dave Purvis shoots policeman Lt. West","Stagecoach West is an American Western drama television series which ran for thirty-eight episodes on the ABC network from October 4, 1960, until June 27, 1961. Characters Luke Perry and Simon Kane operate the Timberland Stage Line from fictitious Outpost, Missouri to San Francisco, California. Simon's 15-year-old son, David "Davey" Kane, joins the two as they face stagecoach robbers, murderers, inclement weather, and human interest stories. Perry and Kane, who are both deputy U.S. marshals, had been on opposite sides of the American Civil War; Kane, a captain in the Union Army, while Perry had fought for the Confederate States of America. The one-hour black-and-white program was offered at 9 p.m. Eastern on Tuesdays opposite NBC's Thriller, hosted by Boris Karloff, and CBS's The Red Skelton Show.

Rogers became well-known a dozen years later on M*A*S*H, and Bray later portrayed the forest ranger Corey Stuart on Lassie from 1964–1969, both on CBS. Child actor Richard Eyer had starred in a number of films in the 1950s, including Friendly Persuasion and Desperate Hours.

Stagecoach West was produced by Dick Powell's Four Star Television. It is believed that the series was cancelled despite the high quality of its production because of the glut of westerns on television at the time that it aired. The same fate had fallen on CBS's Johnny Ringo, a 1959 one-season spin-off of Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater.",10.2683,"/b4klBoeTqETYpYfTw0CEf5jNF3l.jpg","1960-10-04","Casey Dunlap","69ee9c892de4e67aeb28df3c","1961-06-06
"/61OxoiBHvGFOB4gufYfypHyCbI4.jpg",[133,992,44,1062],1018,[995],"Bonanza","The High-Sierra adventures of Ben Cartwright and his sons as they run and defend their ranch while helping the surrounding community.",93.3319,"/wQ1iVrG871anxkEUwWTRdPRi0j1.jpg","1959-09-12",7.538,503,"Macie","69ef1ca6f11ceeb7376b25b8","1963-03-24
[133,44],[995],"Steve Maclay","6a360e5c2f867e343df37e01","1961-09-25
"/qMp3jxxGGW7qlSDIPzcWx5gkyIx.jpg",[44],21504,[995],"Crossroads","An anthology series based on the activities of clergymen from different denominations.",8.9172,"/yUelQ5SYP80etCzlZBPACp6MIHW.jpg","1955-10-07","6a8abc81f06db324e3cfd6f6","1956-01-06",[
1695,1700
iso_3166_1":13,"iso_639_1":13
0.667,1181,3.334,788
iso_3166_1":13,"iso_639_1":13
821,"/6VYbST642hu6GwXvppjcpGBD2p3.jpg",0.166,548]
