She appeared as Mary in the TV series The Adventures of Sir Lancelot (1956).\n\nDetermined to become more successful, Simon migrated to America, arriving on July 28, 1956. In the late 1950s, McQueen worked as a showgirl at the famous Latin Quarter nightclub in Miami Beach, Florida.
