In Leipzig, she also worked with Wolfgang Engel, Armin Petras, and Matthias Brenner. She then continued her directing work and taught at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig. Between 2000 and 2005, she was a permanent ensemble member at Schauspielhaus Bochum. Guest engagements followed at Schauspielhaus Zürich and Schauspiel Essen. Since 1991, Martina Eitner-Acheampong has also worked as a theater director. She staged productions, among others, at Schauspiel Leipzig, Theater Heilbronn, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Neues Theater Halle, and Theater Augsburg. In the 2003 premiere of the theater play “Mendy – das Wusical” by Helge Schneider, she played one of the main roles. From 2004, Martina Eitner-Acheampong appeared in seasons one to three of the TV series “Stromberg” as Erika Burstedt. Her series character died in the episode “Erika,” aired on April 30, 2007.
