In 2006, she was awarded the Young Artists' Sponsorship Prize at Theater Magdeburg, and in 2010, she received the Otto Kasten Prize for young theater artists.\n\nFrom 2009 to 2017, Straub was a member of the ensemble at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam. There, she played—among other roles—Blanche DuBois in *A Streetcar Named Desire*, Katharina in *The Taming of the Shrew*, and roles in *Three Sisters*, *Dogville*, and *Kirschgarten – Die Rückkehr*.
