He won immediate fame for his first novel, "Native Son" (1940). It tells the story of Bigger Thomas, a young chauffeur whose inarticulate rage over his lot ultimately erupts into violence. "Native Son" was adapted into a play directed by Orson Welles in 1941, filmed in 1951 with Wright himself playing Bigger, and again in 1986. Wright's other books include "Black Boy" (1945), an autobiography; the novels "The Outsider" (1953) and "The Long Dream" (1958); the story collections "Uncle Tom's Children" (1938) and "Eight Men" (1961); and the philosophical volumes "Black Power" (1954) and "White Man, Listen!" (1957). Richard Nathaniel Wright was born near Natchez, Mississippi. Largely self-educated, he began to write after moving to Chicago around 1927. He was a member of the Communist Party from 1932 to 1944; he later wrote of his disillusionment with that system in "The God That Failed" (1949), a collection of essays by former party members. Wright lived in Paris from 1946 until his death. A second book of memoirs, "American Hunger," was published posthumously in 1977.","1908-09-04","1960-11-28",2,null,1043809,"nm0942740","Writing","Richard Wright","Roxie, Mississippi, USA",0.7243,"/mij0bLhu9Ha5sHg8bHTB6zLGqv7.jpg
20,37
"/qFvg1M5zr0Q5xIXuAHbB5iUMDPu.jpg",[23],18,151435,"Native Son","en","",1.4762,"/ah4FStCZc4NIdt0jST8VYybGw4Q.jpg","1951-03-02",5.5,15,"Bigger Thomas","52fe4b019251416c910ccd1f",0,"movie
[39],99,456744,"Richard Wright: Native Son, Author and Activist",0.7262,"/vxbMIUOtMWbQHMPcKHb7EBymqBz.jpg","2009-01-01","Self","59112f289251414edb03c323",[48,59,71,86,98,101,112,115,127
"/2SRb0uB2U7paW6xVThSiBiNqdOo.jpg",[23],108312,1.8505,"/5HNYDlnI145RJWA5BWeomtVZ4JM.jpg","1986-12-24",5.2,14,"52fe4a96c3a36847f81d6bf7","Writer
[23,61],10770,331922,"Almos' a Man",1.4428,"/sQqNaR3DcuJAN8DRGKMTDfhXPM2.jpg","1976-04-05",10,1,"6549184d924ce600e53fe36c","Short Story
"/444MLGloEkPOLPJl78W6RnF2eYd.jpg",[74,23,75],10749,9648,307187,"La Passerelle","fr",1.0208,"/sAaxm97MM9ZNXOPtqrJXRvV5pnq.jpg","1988-01-01",5.4,7,"551376a69251412c52000522","Novel
[23,61],290521,"America's Dream","Dos individuos se enfrentan a la intolerancia y prejuicios de su comunidad para conquistar sus sueños.
